SS501's Kim Kyu Jong was sent off by more than five hundred fans from inside and outside Korea as he enlisted to military service on July 23rd.
He will undergo basic military training in JeonJu Division 35 Training Center for four weeks and then will be serving as a public service officer.
He was originally exempted from the service as he was a hepatitis B carrier before but the revised military laws required him to serve in public office.
Fellow SS501 members, Heo Young Saeng and Kim Hyung Jun were also present to see him off. He is the first SS501 member to enter the service.
Before he entered, he said, "I’ll come back healthy after getting through the training." Kim Hyung Jun added, "We will follow soon."
On July 18, he released his pre-enlistment mini-album 'Meet Me Again' as a gift to his fans.

Singer Kim Kyu Jong will release a mini album prior to his enlistment.
Prior to his enlistment on July 23, Kim Kyu Jong will release a mini album ‘Meet Me Again’. This album is filled with his love and memories of fans and will be released on July 18 through online and offline stores, without any special activities/promotions.
Kim Kyu Jong is making a promise to meet again after a 2-year hiatus to his fans, who has been with him for 7 years since his debut as SS501 till his recent solo activities. He has been enthusiastically participating in the album production recently.
Title song ‘Precious Person’ has lyrics filled with gratefulness to his fans, another song ‘Thank You’ has made its debut in his fan meeting held in Seoul on June 3, Kim Kyu Jong participated in the lyrics-writing for this song.
In addition, in duet song ‘One Luv’ with composer Tae Wan, Shorry J from Mighty Mouth is a featured rapper. This mini-album’s first press limited edition will have a unique serial number (3000 copies).
Kim Kyu Jong has announced his enlistment in a handwritten letter posted in his own official homepage in June.

Starting his comeback promotions, SS501's Kim Hyung Jun held a special showcase at AX-KOREA on June 29th. He sang his four new songs, "Sorry I'm Sorry", "Just Let it Go", "Bad Guy Thing" and "Got It Wrong".
The highlight of the showcase was seeing Kim Hyung Jun together with his bandmates, Kim Kyu Jong and Heo Young Saeng, on one stage.
Park Jung Min was at the venue as well but stayed on the sideline due to legal issues with his company. Kim Hyung Jun's mother, cousin and brother, Kim Ki Bum, also attended the event. Beside that, his celebrity friends, JQ, Rainbow's Ji Suk and actress, So Yi Hyeon, were there.

SS501 member Kim Kyu Jong revealed his enlistment date into the army will be on July 23rd.
Last month, Kim Kyu Jong revealed that he would be starting his mandatory military service sometime in July. The following week, SS501 reunited for the first time in 2 years for a surprise fan meet in honor of the group member's departure into the military.
The idol's agency B2M Entertainment revealed that he will release a special "Thank You" track before his enlistment.
SS501′s Kim Kyu Jong released a handwritten letter and posted it on his official website, announcing that he will be enlisting to the army this July.
His letter is addressed to his fans and says the following.
Hi! I am Kyu Jong. Although keep saying like this, but time has passed very fast! It seems like just debut and now it is already 2012 June. Everybody's plan has done well? It is not too late now, for what you are planning! Think again carefully~ Hwaiting! The reason for writing after so long is planning to go into army, wanted to tell all pretties personally.

On April 3rd, former and current artist/s of DSP Media were spotted at the wedding ceremony of B2M Entertainment's CEO Gil Jong Hwa which was held at Renaissance Seoul Hotel.
Gil Jong Hwa was previously the manager of idol group Fin.K.L., where former members Lee Hyori was the MC of the wedding and Ock Joo Hyun sang for the newly married couple. Lee Hyori is under B2M at present.
SS501 members Kim Hyun Joong(which left early), Heo Young Saeng, Kim Kyu Jong and Kim Hyung Jun; KARA‘s Han Seungyeon, Goo Hara, Nicole and Park Gyuri; Rainbow‘s Kim Jae Kyung, Oh Seung Ah, Go Woo Ri, No Eul, Jung Yoon Hye, Kim Ji Sook, and Cho Hyun Young; and SPICA were among the artists who attended the wedding ceremony.
SS501's subunit Heo Young Saeng, Kim Kyu Jong and Kim Hyung Jun also presented a song in the wedding. The group sang Fin.K.L’s Forever Love and greeted the audience with "Annyeong haseyo! Double S Oh Gong Il Imnida(We are SS501)" which made their fans really delighted and happy to see them perform together on the stage again.

f(x) member Luna and Kim Kyu Jong star in the drama series "Saving Ajumma Go Bong Shil". In an upcoming episode, the two go a romantic date down a quaint side street. Still shots from the scene have now been released.
During the scene, Kim Kyu Jong's character tells Luna's character that he passed his audition. They share a sweet kiss and walk home together hand in hand.
After walking Luna home, they say goodbye to each other, but refuse to look away from each other even as Kim Kyu Jong makes his way back home.
The episode airs on March 11th.

F(x) Luna and SS501 Kim Kyu Jong are one of the support casts of the TV Chosun cable drama “Saving Mrs. Go Bong Shil” that started airing last December that helped increased its rating, not only coming from idol groups but they also can act well. Kim Kyu Jong plays the role of Niki, a manual laborer and dreams to be a musical actor and steals Seo In Young’s (Luna) heart away, a college student.
The two were introduced to acting through musicals. Last year, Luna, won praises for her performance in musicals 'Legally Blonde' and 'Coyote Ugly', and Kyu Jong was greatly loved in Japan and South Korea as the Crowned Prince Shin in the musical 'GOONG'.
In an interview at choson.com, the two left a New Year's message, "We can’t spend the New Year with the readers thus we will give our New Year greetings.
