During her appearance on "Happy Together 3", IU admitted to being scammed before she debut, a story similar to her character in "You're The Best, Lee Soon Shin".
The talented singer revealed to the hosts and fellow guests that, "Before debuting, I was actually scammed on multiple accounts. Usually when a company asks you for money, they're definitely trying to scam you out of your money. However, I was swindled by three companies before I realized what was happening. These companies can demand up to 3 million Won. If you do succumb to their high price, all they do is give you a few stints as an extra. I actually lost a great deal of money to these guys".
What many netizens found somewhat about the situation was that IU plays an actress who is scammed by a man who claims to be the CEO of a big entertainment company. Many say that it is a big coincidence that IU would play a character who has a story similar to her own.
Loen Entertainment producer Jo Young Chul revealed that popular singer IU is likely going to be releasing her new album sometime in April.
The producer tweeted on January 24th about IU and the progress of her latest musical endeavor.
"We're planning to release a full-length album full of more mature songs from IU. She's put her heart and soul into the album, even changing the concept a few times already. She has started recording and will likely greet her fans with a wonderful new album in April," he tweeted.
It was first revealed that IU had returned to the studio to record new music at the beginning of the month. Shortly afterward, it was revealed that she would likely be starring in an upcoming drama series, complicating plans to make her musical comeback.

The MAMA Mnet Asia Music Awards are finally over!
During the past few weeks k-pop fans all over have been voting in order to help their favorite artists be at the top of the lists on the MAMA Awards and the final results are finally out.

With the accidental tweeting of her picture together with Super Junior's Eunhyuk, an online survey has shown that Korean netizens no longer consider IU to be the "nation's little sister".
The survey was conducted from November 13th to the 15th. With 822 people voting, IU only managed to come in 4th out of 5 people. A week earlier, IU was ranked 1st with a total of 27.7% of the vote.
According to the survey, the nation's new "little sister" is Moon Geun Young, receiving 221 votes. Gymnast Son Yeon Jae came in 2nd, miss A's Suzy came in 3rd and figure skater Kim Yuna came in 5th.
While Loen Entertainment has released a statement regarding the scandalous photo IU had accidentally uploaded, many netizens are hesitant to believe the company's explanation. Even people who belief in the statement still wonder about the nature of the two idols' relationship, causing IU's innocent image to become questioned.

Earlier today, IU accidentally tweeted a photo of herself with a shirtless Eunhyuk, causing netizens to believe they were in bed together and possibly dating. Loen Entertainment, IU's agency, released a statement refuting these claims, trying to put a stop to the rumors the photo had caused.
With fans worried about how the photo scandal would affect IU's career, Loen Entertainment has assured fans that nothing would be changing for the time being. The singer will still be the MC for the "2012 Love Sharing Concert" on November 11th.

After the controversy regarding the IU and Super Junior's Eunhyuk's close relationship, Loen has finally released an official statement.
The scandal started when IU accidentally shared a picture on her Twitter which was erased after a few minutes. On the image she was seen really close to Eunhyuk while she was wearing what people said where her PJs, since she showed a picture of them before, while Eunhyuk seemed shirtless.

An online community recently shared photos of IU's elementary school graduation, which show her smiling brightly in school uniforms.

MBLAQ members keep surprising fans with their unusual habits.
At the moment the band is art of the reality show "Idol Manager" and on the upcoming episode there will be a shocking revelation about Cheon Dung.
This time the members invited their closest friends to the show. Having previously been a trainee under Loen Entertainment, Cheon Dung invited Kim Sung Koo, who was close to him during those.
During the episode they ended up calling IU who is also a close friend with the MBLAQ member. She revealed that when she first saw him she was really surprised because of his good looks, however, she also experienced a disappointing moment when she was able to hear him while he was on the bathroom since he didn't close the door.

Due to many variety shows making people cook, IU has picked up cooking as a new hobby.
The singer share her new interest on the latest episode of MBC's "Quiz To Change The World".
"I make really good peach flat rice cake ddukbokki," the singer said when asked what dish she cooked best.
According to IU, she usually adds apples and onions to the dish's spicy sauce. The singer's unique recipe of adding pears instead of apples was create when she had run out of apples and decided to try using pears instead. "As it cooked, the peach got sweeter and made the dish really delicious," she stated.

During a behind the scenes look at IU's recent commercial shoot, it was revealed that the singer slipped and fell while shooting a scene on a wet floor.
The footage was shown on KBS' "Entertainment Relay" as part of a special interview with the artist regarding the commercial.
Part of her new commercial required the idol to jump, run and splash around barefoot on a floor with a puddle of water on it. During the scene, she accidentally slipped and fell. However, she wasn't hurt, quickly getting back up and putting on a charming smile.

Replying to a question about her ideal type of man, she said, "My ideal type has always been the lead of every drama that comes out." She then picked Big Bang's Taeyang, who has already received her attention several times.
More than once, IU has revealed herself to be a fan of Taeyang and that he is her ideal type of guy.

During the past months we have seen an overflowing amount of k-pop idols entering into the Japanese music market.
In the past only established k-pop artists in Korea tried this and had to start from zero just like BoA, TVXQ, Se7en, Big Bang and more. They all waited at least a couple of years, or even more, before trying to conquer the Japanese fans. However, nowadays rookies have started to make releases in Japan as soon as they debut presenting the same tracks in Japanese.
