Simon was born in Seattle. He has a Korean father and Japanese mother, and he is fluent in speaking Korean, Japanese and English.
He was together with Inati, Dari, Day Day and Jisu in the original line-up of Dalmatian. However, he was dropped before the boyband's debut, and the members of Daniel and Young Won were added instead.
After Day Day left the group in 2012, Simon has taken over his place and made his debut with Dalmatian's comeback promotions with State of Emergency.
