As we thought there is more behind YG's "Who is Next?" teasers!
It was recently announced that 2NE1's CL was making her solo debut on May 28th but it looks like YG has some surprises under the sleeve.
After thinking the mystery was solved with CL's solo debut announcement, YG has once again tricked fans and released a new poster on YG-Life. The image features the words "2NE1", "Since 2009", "4th Anniversary", "Are You Ready?" and the number 4 at the back.
It looks like besides CL's solo 2NE1 will also make a special release commemorating their 4th year anniversary. It is still unknown if it will be a whole new album, single, mini album, compilation album or maybe all of them.
Apparently YG will never stop with the surprises so stay tuned for more news and updates here on GoKpop!
After the much anticipated wait, YG-Life has finally answered the "Who's Next?" question.
The answer to the "Who's Next?" teasers reveal that 2NE1's leader CL will be releasing her first Solo Single, which will be on May 28th.
Three months ago on an interview with Billboard, CL revealed that she was planning on releasing her 1st solo album this year. CL told Billboard "I'm planning to have my solo album out this year, after 2NE1. I was looking back and thinking, 'I want to have something personal for me.' With 2NE1, it's not personal because it's not only about me; it's about all the members. We're more about influencing the world. But I have so many things I want to say. I have this other side of me that people didn't meet in 2NE1,"

During the past days YG has been releasing a series of teasers featuring CL, Dara, Bom and Minzy of 2NE1, as well as an announcement asking fans who might be the next YG artist to make a comeback.
So far there aren't details if indeed 2NE1 is making a comeback, or if it is a special release. Therefore we decided to make a short analysis of the teasers and share a couple of theories.

YG Entertainment has still not announced who will be the next YG artist to make a comeback. These mysterious teasers indicate that it will be 2NE1, but it wouldn't be YG's promotions if there wasn't any other surprise behind it.

The latest teaser released on the website is featuring 2NE1-member Bom, who shines like a Greek goddess in the video. Take a look!

All signs indicate that 2NE1 will be the next of the YG Family to make their comeback. However, YG Entertainment has still not released an official statement about it. Stay tuned for updates!
YG Entertainment teased fans on May 6th with a mysterious image promising that one of its artists will be making a comeback on May 28th.
The next day, a video titled "2NE1 Loves Vol.1 - CL Loves" was posted on the new website 2ne1loves.com, prompting many people to believe that it will be 2NE1 making their long-awaited comeback.
While CL's video had her working a sword like a fierce warrior, Dara's video, titled "2NE1 Loves Vol.2 – DARA Loves", shows the idol striking elegant poses and working flowing chiffon fabric, transforming her into a high fashion goddess.
The timing of the surfacing of these video in relation to YG Entertainment's announcement seems perfect for 2NE1 to be making a comeback; however, there has been no official word that the two are related.
If the pattern remains consistent, you can expect similar video featuring Bom and Minzy to be released in the next two days. Until then, check out Dara's new video below!

Many YG artists are known for having friendships with famous foreign artists. Recently, the YG Family members have uploaded photos of them with Will Smith and his son Jaden Smith, who are in Korea to promote their upcoming movie "After Earth".
2NE1's leader CL, as well as Big Bang's leader G-Dragon uploaded pictures with Will Smith and Jaden Smith, with the tag #foreverfresh referring it to Will's role in "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air". To this the rest of the YG Family members did not step behind, and also uploaded their pictures, which in some you can spot TaeYang, TOP, and Teddy. Yang Hyun Suk, uploaded his picture with the captioning "Will Smith in the house". Choice37, who is a producer at YG also uploaded a picture.
Later on, some pictures were also uploaded, which were when Will, Jaden, Minzy and Sean made a stop to visit the kids at the Children's Hospital.

2NE1's leader CL just uploaded a photo of her hugging Black Eyed Peas-member and renowned producer will.i.am. She shared it via her official Instragram account with the title, "WILLPOWER!!!" The photo was taken today, when they were shopping at MCM in Cheongdam-dong.
The two look really cute together. CL is smiling brightly and showing her affection to him, while will.i.am displays a cool hint of a smile and has her arm around her.
will.i.am has had a close relationship to 2NE1 since their debut, and supports them on their anticipated international activities. He recently released a collaboration track with the girls called "Take the World On". Have a listen to it below, if you haven't yet!

U-KISS not only won the fans' heart but also the media's during their press conference on the 22nd March. Although its their 5th time in Malaysia, it's sad to say they have not seen KL before, only the inside of their hotel room... As their tight schedule only allow them to fly in for their performance and back the next minute, but they really hope to come back real soon for a full length concert.
They are currently working on their new album and plan to tour around to promote their album. Kevin dropped us a hint as they might release sub-units in the future as all of them have been working together for their new album, Collage. He also said that the members of U-KISS are fans of Backstreet Boys and can't wait to chat with them.

Recently, 2NE1's leader CL had an interview with Elle US, which was published on the magazine's website under the title "Meet Jeremy Scott's Muse K-Pop Star CL".
The interview started off with the question, "Who is CL?", whereupon CL responded, "I have an alter ego between CL and Chaerin."
After explaining her personality, CL was asked about how 2NE1's song "Ugly" was created, and she replied that Teddy, the producer of the track, was inspired by a conversation they had about the narrow view of Koreans on outer appearance. She explained, "[M]any people from around the world think that being different is wrong. I don't understand that. You're unique. (...) I respect those people and love them, but some don't do that. So, in my case, I'm seen in public, so I'm attacked a lot. I was feeling down one day and talking to Teddy. I was like, you know, maybe I am ugly to those people. So we talked on and on and he wrote that song."
Thereupon, the interviewer asked CL, "In Korea everyone gets plastic surgery. Do you ever feel pressured to get so as well—especially as a star?"
CL exposed, "You know, YG told me to. They told me to get plastic surgery before my debut. I stood up for myself and said, 'No, I'm not doing it.' Like I said before, I love CL, but I still want to be Chaerin. And if I felt like I had to change, I would, but I love the natural way I look. I said no and I'm not planning to."
We have been waiting for 2NE1's international album for years now, but it seems like we're getting closer to that day little by little.
Black Eyed Pease-member and highly renowned producer and songwriter will.i.am recently announced to release his new album, #willpower, on 23rd April.
Revealing more information on his upcoming release, Interscope Records has published a press release on 18th March. According to this, #willpower will not only contain collaborations between will.i.am and world-famous artists such as Britney pears, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Eva Simons, Fergie, Chris Brown and more, but also a collaboration song featuring our beloved K-pop girlband 2NE1.
Interscope Records especially pointed out the collaboration songs featuring the 8-year-old rapper Baby Kaely and 2NE1, so that the anticipation for these songs rose even more.
"Will's rumored to be producing [2NE1]'s debut English album and this may be the first taste of what's to come", was one of the closing statements of the press release.

LED Apple is back with a new cover.
Continuing with their special cover releases, the members of LED Apple have shared a new video this week introducing their own version of 2NE1's "Go Away".

SPIN recently published an article talking about the new trends on the k-pop scene for 2013 and which idols can make it big.

It looks like the girls are finally working on their new release.
Not long ago leader CL posted a new picture on her Instagram account showing the number 13 creating expectation among the fans, especially because she shared a picture while being on the studio a few days ago.
Also during a recent interview YG's CEO Yang Hyun Suk talked about 2NE1 and its future projects. He mentioned that he felt sorry that the girls had to embark on a global tour with only one new song [[b]"I Love You"[/b ]] and that it sadly didn't depend on him but on the artists and that he takes care of giving them a good envoiroment where they can work.
He also stated that the new song will be released as a single and that the composer is Teddy, who has previously worked on several songs for the YG artists.

2NE1's Dara shared a special picture of her younger brother Cheon Dung while he was at home.
On the picture shared by Dara we can see the MBLAQ member lying on the coach. According to Dara he was watching TV and took a sneaky photo of him who looked like a model just doing normal things at home.
She later posted a message in English talking about her brother.
Through this picture and posts fans have been able to know a bit more about Cheon Dung and how good looking he is even while being relaxed at home.

YG has announced the release of 2NE1's live tour album.
2NE1 is the 1st Korean girl group to hold a world tour. Each concert of the New Evolution Tour has been carefully presented by the group. The tour had the collaboration of a great production staff that has worked with several international artists like Michael Jackson, Beyonce, and Lady Gaga.
During the shows the girls presented band versions of their most popular tracks like "Fire", "I Don't Care", "Can't Nobody", "I Love You" and more.
Now fans will be able to experience all the energy from the concerts on a new live CD that will be released on December 4th.
As we announced GoKpop has prepared a special surprise for Blackjacks with a great giveaway event where you can get 2NE1's signed albums, lightsticks and cheer towels!
