The KBS K-pop Festival’s honest sound system has exposed the vocal talents of K-pop idols.
KBS 2TV’s ‘K-pop Festival’ was aired on the 28th of December and was graced by singers who shined in 2012. They sang their biggest hit of 2012 and also got together for collaboration performances that exuded a completely different charm than usual.
However, aside from the dance numbers, the performances of the attending idol singers fell below expectations and were disappointing. (.....)
The only people who survived the exposure were 2AM, K. Will, Hyorin, Ailee, SHINee, Noeul and TVXQ. Hyorin showcased her vocal talent through a sexy performance, as well as during her collaboration number of the guitarist Park Joo Won. SHINee and TVXQ gave perfect performances as they sang so well to extremely difficult choreography that it made one wonder if they were actually singing live or lip-synching.

It's the end of the year and that means it's time for Gayo Daejun! Watch SBS Gayo Daejun Live now (18.20 - 20.00 Korean time). Like always, it's going to be spectacular!

It has been revealed that 2AM member Jo Kwon was tricked into signing a marriage certificate with one of his fans.
The revelation came on the July 15th broadcast of Y-STAR's "Curiosity" when a fan of the singer showed the audience the signed marriage certificate between herself and the idol.
The girl explained that in 2009, while the group was promoting "Confession of a Friend", she brought the marriage certificate with her to a fan signing event. In the hectic environment of the event, she gave him the document to sign while he was distracted.
Producers for the show discovered that the marriage certificate wasn't valid because of the way she got it signed, meaning the two are not actually married.

There are a few different styles k-pop idols use to debut in Japan and we will explain a few of them to you as well as some differences between the 2 markets that will help you understand why some names or videos are different.
Check our full article in order to learn about a few differences on both industries!

2AM's Jo Kwon has revealed that he will be transforming into "Dark Jo Kwon" for his debut solo album concept.
The singer announced last month that he would be making his solo debut. Last week, he mentioned that his debut solo album will be released on June 25th. Today, he revealed his album's concept, "Dark Jo Kwon", as well as the album's tracklist.
Jo Kwon's debut solo album will include 10 tracks. Many of the industry's most prominent producers, including world famous Avicii, all worked on his new album.
Check out the album's tracklist and first 2 concept images below:

2AM's Jo Kwon is preparing for his solo debut. The singer has revealed that his solo debut album will be released on June 25th.
In addition to revealing his album's release date, the singer also revealed that he will release a prelude track on June 18th to build excitement for the album.
"We've prepared two visual concepts to match the prelude track and the title track. It’s definitely a dramatic concept, an image that Jo Kwon has never shown before," a representative stated.
Jo Kwon will be releasing the tracklist for his debut album as well as concept images next week.

2AM member Jo Kwon is set to make his solo debut this summer. It has been revealed that his debut track will be a dance track.
"The release was originally scheduled for early June, however, the production was postponed and the album may drop as early as July. Jo Kwon’s title song will be a dance track, and it should be either a mini-album or a full-length album," a representative stated.
Group member Changmin went solo for his musical debut in "Lacage". Jinwoon began releasing solo singles in 2011. However, Jo Kwon will be the first group member to record an entire album and promote as a solo artist.
"With this new album, he is planning on taking part in a variety of broadcast promotions," a representative stated.

2PM's Wooyoung and 2AM's Jo Kwon will be releasing their first solo albums over the summer.
Wooyoung will be the 2nd member of 2PM to release a solo album after Junsu made his debut last October. Although he hasn't gone solo before, JYP is confident in the idol's abilities. "He has the talents and ability of a true singer, and the best performance out of all the members," he stated.
While Wooyoung has never recorded solo, 2AM's Jo Kwon has. In 2010, the singer recorded the song "The Day of Confessing My Love". The song was for his wife Ga In for the show "We Got Married" where the two were a couple.
No further details about their solo debut have been released at this time.
